Rajinikanth: The Superstar
|
|
Rajinikanth can be hailed as one of the greatest and most successful movie stars of Indian cinema. Born as Shivaji Rao Gaekwad in the year 1950, Rajinikanth is a cultural icon of Tamil Nadu. His immense popularity and appeal can be attributed from his stylish delivery of dialogues, unique mannerisms and tremendous screen presence. Till date he is the most bankable star of Indian cinema and can carry a film single-handedly on his shoulders.
Popularly known as 'Thalaivar', Rajinikanth made his screen debut in the year 1975 and initially started off as a supporting artist in various films. The famous director K.Balachander acted as his mentor and introduced him to the industry. He had to struggle a lot during the early stages of his life due to the poor financial condition of his family. He did his schooling from Bangalore and did jobs of varied nature during his stay in the city. It was during his stint as a bus conductor in Bangalore that he nurtured his ambition of becoming an actor. Before joining the industry Rajinikanth acted in various stage plays.
Rajinikanth though being a Marathi by birth has not acted in any Marathi films till date.

Hrithik Roshan
|
One of the most prolific actors of Bollywood in the recent times, Hrithik Roshan was born on January 10, 1974 to Rakesh and Pinky Roshan. Belonging to a family that had strong connections with Bollywood (his father Rakesh is an eminent actor and film director), Hrithik was initiated to the world of acting from a very early age. As a child actor, Hrithik made his debut in the movie Aasha, at a time when he just six years of age. During the mid-nineties, Hrithik became an assistant director to his father, helping him to make films like Karan Arjun (1995) and Koyla (1997).
This handsome hunk catapulted into fame almost overnight with the release of the movie Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai in 2000. The movie became the highest grosser of the year and earned Hrithik the Filmfare Award for the Best Actor and the Best Male Debutant. Later that year, he starred in the critically acclaimed movie Fiza, which earned him another nomination for the Best Actor at the Filmfare awards. Mission Kashmir was Hrithik's last release of 2000, and was also well received by the audience.
The next two years of Hrithik's career were marred by a string of flops.

Biography
Thomas Cruise Mapother IV, popularly known as Tom Cruise, was born on July 3, 1962 in Syracuse, New York. Cruise spent the early years of his life in Ottawa, Canada, where his father served as a Defence consultant with the Canadian army. As a child, Cruise attended the Robert Hopkins Public school and Henry Munro Middle School respectively. It was at the former place that he made his first foray into acting, playing the co-lead in a drama called 'IT'. Tom's parents were separated when he was just twelve, and the young boy went to live with his mother along with his sister.
Cruise made his Hollywood debut in 1981, when he played a small role in the movie Endless Love. He shot to prominence with some sterling performances in Risky Business and Top Gun, which he further cemented in movies like Born on the Fourth of July, Jerry Maguire and the Mission Impossible series. While filming on the sets of Days of Thunder, Cruise fell in love with Nicole Kidman, who became his wife after his divorce with Mimi Rogers. The relationship lasted eleven years, after which they parted ways in 2001.
